Interests

I grew up in a very musical family. My mother and siblings would perform together at every possible event that we could and it instilled in me a great love for music at a young age. I love writing original music on the guitar and the piano. I have been a private voice teacher for the last 8 years.

This is my first time working in a residential treatment facility. I am the academic registrar and the keeper of student records. I enjoy meeting each student and helping them get into the classes they need.
One of the things I love most about our school is the fact that we don’t give F’s. We work with the students to teach them what they need to know, about each subject, to help them pass their tests and continue on through the year. This, in turn, raises their GPA.
I love to watch them develop the necessary skills they learn when going through the program DRA offers.

I love working with the students here and feeling like what I do makes a difference. The opportunity to be a part of the positive changes and achievements made by the students here makes this less of a job and more of a privilege.

Interests

Having spent the last 10 years living in Idaho I am pleased to return home to Utah. I grew up in West Jordan, Utah and every time I drove through Southern Utah I would often mention to myself and others that, “I could live here!” I am the proud Papa of two wonderful kids, Ellie and Sterling. In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, and heckling the T.V. I have been involved in over 3 dozen musical productions and spent the last 6 years in beautiful Island Park, Idaho operating Mack’s Inn Playhouse with my beautiful wife, Julie.

I am thrilled to be a part of Diamond Ranch Academy. Shortly after I began working here it was plain to see this place is some place special. I am impressed daily by both the students I have the opportunity to work with and the amazing staff. I have spent a majority of my career working for myself and am glad to get the opportunity join such a professional and caring team. I am a strong believer that the performing arts can be (and should be) wonderfully therapeutic for both the performers and audience.
