Pine Valley Boys Trip

Pine Valley Mountain is the largest mountain one can see north of the Diamond Ranch Academy campus. When the boys were told that Pine Valley was on the other side of that mountain, they were excited to go check it out!

After only seeing the desert landscape surrounding DRA, some of the boys wondered if there were really any forests in Utah. Within an hour we arrived at the Pine Valley recreation area where we spent the day hiking, swimming and fishing in and around the beautiful lakes and streams.

One of the boys in the group, from Washington State, said that he felt like he was home again as he walked beneath the giant pine trees. The outing to Pine Valley was a great get away to beat the heat and enjoy the amazing (and surprising) mountain scenery in southern Utah!
