Performing Arts students from Diamond Ranch Academy recently auditioned for a chance to perform in the 2nd Annual “Hurricane’s Got Talent” at Peach Days. The talent competition was divided into 3 categories: Under 12 years old, 13 to 18, and 18+. Diamond Ranch Academy Performing Arts Director Drew Durrant returned as Emcee for the event.
During auditions, judges narrowed each category down to the best 10 performers. Of the 10 performers competing in the ‘teen’ division, Diamond Ranch Academy held 6 of those spots. Dawson, Kevin, Autumn, Amber, Reagan, and Megan represented DRA. The students from Diamond Ranch performed VERY well and had a lot of fun. The panel of judges consisted of local morning radio personalities, and each had nothing but good things to say about the student from DRA.
Over 500 were in attendance for the final performances at the Hurricane Fine Arts Center. Megan won 1st place in the Teen Division. This is the 2nd time, in as many years, that the top spot has been held by a DRA student. Congratulations to all who participated!
