A group of Sandstone boys recently volunteered for a service project at a public park in La Verkin City. The boys used shovels and rakes to clear a ton of weeds and brush from the volleyball courts and grass area. And they had a good time posing for pictures: Especially Kurt and Adler, who decided to replicate the famous pose of Grant Wood’s “American Gothic”.
Some of the boys played more than they worked, but overall they did an awesome job beautifying the park area. The community was very grateful for their help, and provided the boys with yummy cookies and donuts! And, to cool off afterward, the boys splashed and swam in the river. What a fun and rewarding way to spend the day!
