The Diamond Ranch Academy Diamondback Football team played an away game in Monticello, Utah last Friday night, October 10th, against the Monticello High School Buckaroos.

The Diamondbacks jumped out to a fast start early in the game, scoring a touchdown on a punt return by Ryan and a fumble recovery for a touchdown by Steven. Defensive Line Coach Jerome Eason had this to say about the game, “The defense did a great job holding Monticello scoreless until the second half. We are really proud of the way our boys battled and kept playing hard throughout the game.”

Offensive Coordinator Cody Wardle added, “As a team we continue to make progress and improvements. We were able to move the ball well during the game but penalties proved costly, especially in the first half. In the second half Monticello made a run late, driving down for the tying touchdown, however the Diamondback defensive line held out and Monticello turned the ball over with just over a minute to play. Kaelin sealed the win, breaking free on a big run with less than a minute to play.”

The Diamondbacks defeated the Buckaroos with a final score of 20 – 7. Click here to watch the game film of this region match-up.
