FISHING AT KOLOB RESERVOIR

Brady, Cole, Kevin, Dylan, and Alex from the Lava Falls Program were able to attend a trip to the cooler part of southern Utah to fish at Kolob Reservoir.

Devin, Dustin, Jarryn, Eric, and Henry from the Stone Ridge Program also attended the fishing trip.  It was a good experience for everyone, especially because some in the group had never been fishing before.

We spent some time at first teaching the boys how to tie fisherman knots, and also different ways to fish.  Brady was the only one who got lucky and caught a fish, but all the boys were able to learn how to clean a fish for cooking.  Brady was so excited about catching that fish!

“Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.  Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime.”  While the boys fished, their Program Directors grilled up some hot dogs for lunch.
