Diamond Ranch Academy’s Fine Arts Department consists of multiple, award-winning, credentialed art instructors. On campus there are top of the line classrooms dedicated to the visual arts.Instructors and students work together to visually create beautiful works of arts that demonstrate student talents. The Fine Arts Program’s philosophy is that every student has untapped potential. Through individualized attention, projects and critiques, students are asked to push themselves to become better artists. In doing so, students feel a sense of self-worth as they come to the realization they have made something more than they thought possible. Diamond Ranch Academy’s Fine Arts Program showcases student talents. Visual arts are meant to be seen and every opportunity is taken to let students shine.
Classes
DRA’s Fine Arts Department Gives All Students the Opportunity to Participate in Art Class. Those with special interests can participate in any of the following classes:
Drawing and Painting
Students will have the opportunity to:
- Train with licensed and highly qualified art teaching professionals.
- Learn a variety of media: Graphite, Charcoal, Pastel, Acrylic, Watercolor and more.
- Prepare for and compete in a variety of Art Festivals and competitions.
- Be a member of DRA’s esteemed Art Team.
Design and Animation
Students will have the opportunity to:
- Learn the principles of illustration and artistic design.
- Have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of graphic design and digital animation.
Ceramics
Students will have the opportunity to:
- Create 3-dimensional art pieces on our electric pottery wheels.
- Fire artwork that is functional and beautiful.
- Sculpt masterpieces under the direction of talented artists.
Photography
Students will have the opportunity to:
- Learn how to shoot using digital SLR cameras.
- Learn key design and framing techniques.
- Have the opportunity to edit and manipulate photos using Adobe Photoshop.

- 1st Place Congressional Winner 42nd Utah State High School Art Competition 2014 (Work selected to represent the State of Utah in the U.S. Capitol building in D.C. from 2014-2015 and student attended awards ceremony at the U.S. Capitol)
