Parent Visits

Parents are allowed to come to the ranch for family therapy and a visit with their student on a monthly basis. The length of these visits and whether the visits occur on or off campus is determined by the student’s advancement in the program. As in real life, the harder you work or the more you advance; the greater the privileges you enjoy.

In addition to family therapy, parent visits are intended to allow students to practice using the relationship knowledge and skills they are learning in the program. Each visit is evaluated and processed by the therapist and any concerns that arise are addressed in individual therapy and family therapy. This is a significant opportunity for family relationships to be strengthened and for parents and students to overcome obstacles that have prevented them from having effective relationships in the past.
